How do you think ASEAN can help Thailand address a challenge (such as climate change, creating new jobs, or health issues) in the 21st century? (No more than 300 words.) Thailand is a small country compared to the major countries. However, with ASEAN, we have a bigger bargaining power. Hence, major countries tend to listen carefully; talking with Thailand represented only 70 million but talking with ASEAN represented over 622 million people. The nations need friends to support their stands. A small country alone in the United Nations has a difficulty to protect its interest. Nonetheless, if small countries are able to cooperate together, there will be more chances that raised issues can gain the momentum. In other words, regional cooperation such as ASEAN is a step forward to pursuit its interest in international affairs. We are living in a borderless society. World, regional and national issues seem to be involved and mixed into one. The world is facing problems which cannot be don
