Opening remarks for Thailand Exhibition by Mr. Apipan Cheecharoen

Distinguished guests, Ladies and Gentlemen

Mr. Suwat Kaewsook, my Consul General, could not make it to this event today because he was promoted to be Ambassador of Thailand to Oman. 

Before his leaving, Ambassador Suwat asked me to be here for this special event, which I am so delighted to be here. I may say this is the event that I am waiting for. Why I said this is the event that I am waiting for.

The reason is simple. As a diplomat, one of my duties is to promote trade, promote tourism, promote culture, promote activities between the two countries, promote activities between Pakistan and Thailand. And this is it. Today I find a good chance, a good opportunity for a better closer relationship between Pakistan and Thailand. Today event is the event that I am looking forward to attending. 

I would like to thank all of you to be here to participate in this exhibition.

Last year, I was here at this same hotel, at this same exhibition, at this same hall, and I experienced the happiness among Pakistani and Thai businessmen. 

Again, today I strongly believe this exhibition will be the successful one, as the same as the previous one, and even more. I wish this exhibition will bring about the closer and closer relationship between Pakistan and Thailand.
